They think that online chatting has made it possible for them to know people from all corners of the world. However, some other people think online chatting, especially online dating, as meaningless and also a waste of time. Especially some teachers and parents often warn their students or children of the danger of meeting Internet lovers. Several cases are reported that the naive girl students at famous universities were killed by their online lovers when they met. In addition, spending too long a time on line will affect the students study and their normal activities.
In my opinion, online chatting has both positive and negative aspects. Although many tragic incidents occur, I still believe that the Internet is a great way to communicate. But for a college student, the disadvantages of online dating always outweigh the advantages. They should arrange their spare time carefully and never neglect their studies.
